The success story of the traditional Carinthian company began in 1947 with the burgeoning tourism in our region - and with a borrowed sewing machine on which company founder Augustin Mayer made his first quilts.

After taking over his father's business on Lake Millstättersee in Carinthia in the 1970s, Augustin Mayer put everything into the development of a groundbreaking technological fiber, which would soon later give rise to G-LOFT®.

Believe in Europe

When the market became more complex with Austria's accession to the EU in 1995, Augustin Mayer once again relied on his intuition: outsourcing production to the Far East was out of the question for him. Instead, he works on new products and conquers the global market.

Unstoppable spirit of innovation

Intuition and willingness to take risks turned out to be spot on: Today, GOLDECK Austria's premium products are sought after all over the world. Augustin Mayer and his team in Carinthia are also researching the development of even better materials and more sophisticated bed products for the perfect sleep.
